Drama about the life of the legendary shepherdess Jeanne D'Arc (Joan of Arc), which deliberately disregards the historical course of events. Flashbacks to stages of Jeanne's life effectively interrupt the actual interrogation. The stages of this heroic fate do not end with death at the stake, but with the coronation of the Dauphin.
