It's important not to think of this as prisoner and guard in a real prison. The important issue is the metaphor prisoner and guard. What does it mean to be a prisoner? What does it mean to be a guard? And the guard is somebody who limits the freedom of someone else, uses the power in their role to control and dominate someone else, and that's what this study is about. In the summer of 1971, Philip Zimbardo, Craig Haney, and Curtis Banks carried out a psychological experiment to test a simple question. What happens when you put good people in an evil place-does humanity win over evil, or does evil triumph? To explore this question, college student volunteers were pretested and randomly assigned to play the role of prisoner or guard in a simulated prison at Stanford University. 虽然我觉得的确是反人性的，虽然津巴多教授觉得这个实验的意义在于发现了情境的重要性，但是我觉得也存在着一些主观因素，有些时候并不是情境改变了人，而是这个人本来就如此情境助推了人的行为和性情。
被关在宿舍里已经两个多月了，现在看这部纪录片有了更多的现实意义。我从刚开始的困惑，焦虑和愤怒中变得平静下来，渐渐放弃了挣扎。无力感彻底占据了我，这个实验里的人尚且可以申请暂停实验，而我又能逃往何处呢？希望这个纪录片能提醒我不要麻木，不要被环境改变。抗争或许很难，但是能让这个世界变得更好的，从来不是那些顺从者。
大二，老师有给我们看过这部纪录片。老师还说如果感到不舒服可以提前走。果然看到1/3受不了，跟朋友提前下课走了。
于当下更理解实验激发的人性本恶。
不知道再过两年，这部纪录片会不会和《1984》，一起从豆瓣被除名
