本片改编自1956年由罗杰·科曼执导的同名恐怖经典电影。
剧情描述珍妮弗（ 娜塔莎·金斯基 ）来到一个充满谜团的小镇为学生做心理辅导，她发现其中一名辅导对象本（ 鲍勃·艾德纳 ），异常的内向而且对过去充满了恐惧。本相信他的生父是一个外星人，然而他在镇上当医生的养父却阻止他继续向珍妮弗倾诉。不久，镇上接连发生了命案，而班却宣称他的生父已回归地球来找他了…… Horror film finds a killer alien, who is just misunderstood, devouring people. A school psychologist investigates the death of a student's mother and finds the boy believes he is the son of the being. His earthling father is also a doctor who has the boy in his care and holds that it is all in the boy's imagination.

怪物的身份居然有反转.....不过这部与科曼的Day the World Ended应该没啥关系吧
