原始人的生活是怎么样的？弗瑞德一家和他的朋友们告诉你，原始人的生活也同样精彩和有趣。开着石头做的汽车、读报纸、打石头做的高尔夫和保龄球，照相机、电话，现代物品一样不少，只是以另一种形象出现。摩登如同现代人。上班族的弗瑞德和他的邻居巴尼总会时不时的惹出一些小麻烦，一出出波折不断、爆笑有趣的故事不断在石器时代的原始小镇上演。
动画片自1960年开始首播，风靡全球。先后被译成22种语言相继在80多个国家播出。90年代被导演史蒂文.斯皮尔伯格的制作公司改编成故事片。 This popular animated television cartoon featured two Stone Age families, the Flintstones and their neighbors, the Rubbles. Much of the humor was based on its comic portrayals of modern conveniences, reinterpreted using Stone Age 'technology.' Most notably were their cars, complete with absence of floorboards to allow them to be 'foot-powered.'
