剧情很多出彩的地方，也涉及对社会政治和人性的思考。但是为了推剧情，把主要角色都当成工具人这点，让人有点不舒服。
一开始以为无比cliche的开头，结果推进越来越好，而且内容也比较于群戏并且每个人都展现的很好。两个女角在开头和最后似乎互换了选择，但是都是适合她们的，更重要的是这一次是她们自己做出了选择而没有任何外力的干扰。
Local Hero的框架下，一个挪威小镇的发展切片。一路上被水上油井、地方保护、宗教阶级分了心，到最后才意识到是一群年轻人的故事，海边生活湿透了鞋，但翅膀还干爽硬实，振一振一样飞。
拍得非常好，对每个角色都宽容谅解。其实虽然事先对此有所了解，但看完后还是对挪威石油国有化的过程不太清楚。
