双目失明的曹晟康决定一个人环游世界。
自从在8岁那年的一场车祸中失去了视力之后,曹晟康也失去了家人的尊敬和关爱。但是他并没有像中国大多数被忽视的盲人那样选择躲避这个社会,相反,在黑暗的世界里,他用各种方式挑战着社会对盲人的歧视和偏见。他参加百米冲刺训练,练习帆板,现在更想独自一人环游世界。他认为在旅行当中能找到真正的自由和自我存在的价值,更能赢得所有人的尊重。但是在这一决定的背后,家人的压力、身边的各种怀疑也接踵而来。靠着一根盲杖、几句英语单词,他硬是在5年的时间里去到了6大洲的34个国家。一个看不到世界的盲人,执意于让这个世界看到他。 After losing his eyesight as an eight-year-old, Cao Shengkang was abused for years by his parents and relatives, all of whom regarded a blind child as an intolerable burden on the limited resources of a peasant family. It would be many years before Cao gradually learned to love again. Only after the birth of his young daughter; Fanfan did Cao finally begin to heal and rediscover what happiness feels like. All his adult life Cao has worked hard to send money home to his family, despite a lack of appreciation and constant demands for more from his parents. However, the central dilemma of Cao's life has little to do with his blindness. Cao finds himself caught between his longing for personal fulfillment and the traditional demands of Chinese society in which every man and woman is expected take responsibility for the well-being of their entire family - even at the expense of their own dreams and ambitions. And it's this seemingly irresolvable conflict that weighs most heavily on Cao's troubled conscience. 'IN MY EYES' permits us to watch as Cao struggles every day of his life to appease two conflicting demands; those imposed upon him by his family and those that are self-imposed - to satisfy his personal ambitions and his yearning for self-fulfillment. And as the endgame plays out Cao finally understands how far he must go to gain his dignity - and we gradually come to understand the tragedy and the triumph of a life well-lived.

这部是韩轶导演,柯文斯制片,另一部是柯文斯执导,韩轶制片的《善良的天使》,两部电影各花了两人的五年。非常好看,里面没有引导,没有说教,没有宣传,没有操控,有的只是流露,里面没有英雄,没有史诗,没有大爱,没有牺牲,有的只是一个普通的人,他的自私,他的付出,他的无耻,他的良善,他的冷血,他的有情……这片子只是一个普通人的记录,但是却非常棒,因为这个世界不只是英雄和精英的舞台,更是众多普通人的道场……
怎么说呢,我觉得大叔心里总是带着点戾气的,而且虽说是追逐梦想,格局终究还是有点小

他说车祸之后就没有感受过父爱了,村里人都认为他废了,曾经被父亲吊起来脱掉衣服打因为看不见容易闯祸,这就是我喜欢纪录片的原因,真实的被创伤的人生。
盲人出国旅行这点还是佩服的,但讨薪这里还是有点崩人设,以及为人子为人父上的不足,都让我不太能认同

7.5吧…宣扬的主要是男主身上可贵的追梦精神吧,至于他没有为按摩店老板带来应有的利益,或者他没有为盲人群体发声什么的,都是其次了
他是一个人。一个生活中、真实的人。不是电影中虚构的主人公,永远励志、有不妥的行为也在观众的承受范围之内。他有坚韧、善良、拼搏的一面,也有会着急、会耍赖、会自负的一面。这就是人吧。人性复杂。有时候他没办法,有时候他控制不住。他后来的很多行为其实可以从生活及成长的经历中窥探出一二原因的。他又可爱又讨厌。他是一个真实的人。
映后制片人交流说到,从12年开始跟拍,现在的老曹踏上了日本之行。电影里老曹的泰国行也是他的第一次旅行,被贴上“盲人”标签的他在大家潜意识的不可能里完成了30多个国家的旅行且还在继续,然而回往家乡的路却花了12年才走完。盲行者的“行”是旅行的行,也是行走的行,行走在生为人的梦想与现实、喜悦与孤独、渴望与失望中。#金红棉#

同样题材的电影 摇摇晃晃的人间比他优秀的不知道多少 我莫名看出一种广告的错觉……
在SIFF看的无障碍观影场,除我以外的观众基本都是盲人朋友,有志愿者阿姨全程用话筒讲电影,很多观众都看哭了。相信我,这样的体验应该有一次,你会知道能看见光明是多么宝贵的一件事。纪录片本身也很励志,同时又保持了客观, 没有刻意美化主角,展现出盲人的敏感、回避、多疑性格,他们值得得到更多关爱,这个题材是有意义的。
表象是一部平凡生活中的英雄梦想,但内核依旧带着极度悲凉。在励志与反励志之间试图尽可能挖掘人物底色。旅行的意义、父女情感沟壑、原生家庭及商业伦理、乡村青年抑郁志、盲人群体的生活史等社会议题丰富亦不失尖锐。家庭聚会的眼神杀保留着最为刺骨的恒久偏见。
感触很多,敬佩他,在我们学校展映,想去抱抱他,又不好意思,太多感触的点,比如他趴在桌子上要钱,我完全可以理解,比如老板的嘴脸,比如父亲的冷眼,比如母亲的软弱,比如女儿的冷漠,好像被全世界抛弃,但是对这个世界,他有他的爱,他的责任,他的热忱,他说话简单,但是理解深刻,我们不彼此占有
