剧情介绍
本片取材自真实事件。伊拉克步兵麦克•德尔菲尔德（乔纳森•塔克 Jonathan Tucker 饰）的父亲汉克•德尔菲尔德（汤米•李•琼斯 Tommy Lee Jones 饰）某天突然接到儿子回国后失踪的消息。老兵汉克驱车来到军营亲自调查，从儿子手机的影像中一点点了解到了麦克在伊拉克所经历的心理创伤。没多久警方发现麦克遇害，并被肢解焚尸。汉克的妻子琼（苏珊•萨兰登 Susan Sarandon 饰）得知噩耗后悲恸万分，不能自己。汉克在调查案件的过程中结识了当地探员艾米莉（查理兹•塞隆 Charlize Theron 饰），二人建立了一种特殊的友谊，并一步步接近事件的真相。

这种题材的电影看起来都是比较震撼的，但是通篇没有爆炸性的场面，更深的是一种平静画面背后深藏的反思，战争的后遗症，给人带来的极大冲击，人性因为经历战争而悄然变化。
从开始纠正国旗倒挂到结尾处坚持国旗倒挂，并用胶带牢牢缠住，一切不言自明。
该死的战争
非常動人的故事，連批判的動作都寫得十分溫柔，不煽情不刻意，隱約的帶出很硬核問題意識，作用卻比明著批判要來的強大。
毛骨悚然，战争摧毁人性，反战（Dong）力度十颗星
被片名极度误导的反战电影。揭开真相的过程偏弱，但对于战争创伤的反思还是够深刻了。汤米李琼斯这个角色是我见过演绎的最典型的“美国爸爸”形象了。
美帝国主义
冠以医生之名，犯下恶魔之行
不错，说了一些事情。
前半程的铺垫和气氛的烘托已经拱的很高了，感觉不揪出来什么惊天大秘密都不行，但是到了后半程就一泻千里了，让人略感遗憾。整体看完，是一个演员表演大于叙事剧情的呈现，汤米李琼斯和塞隆都很赞。
当然可以谴责侵略伊拉克给当地人带来的灾难，不过电影刻画的战争下对人性的异化还是很到位。当男主刚开始高呼 自己的儿子“为了给shithole带来民主鞠躬尽瘁，不该被如此对待时”，跟后面虐囚、捅人时的心理扭曲非常讽刺
有露点镜头(●'◡'●)
看过不少对圣经故事的解读，这部对圣经这个故事的反向思考还挺有意思的。对宗教文本的教条主义是错的，对蕴藏在宗教故事中的“真理”也不可以教条主义。没什么是不可以重新审视的
战场会改变一个人
Both of my boys. You couldn't leave one for me.Dad 发生了一些很不好的事情。Dad 却在否定孩子的害怕绝望恐惧，You will be safe.冷漠地描述杀人经过，分尸，焚烧。战争中活过来，却在生活中死去。
