成長故事。但一切都有太在預料之中，導致整片看來像摻了水，稀了。橄欖球的設定沒有點在題上，可以被替換成任何一種陽剛的運動也無妨。
男孩成长题材，套着体育片的外衣，各种桥段设置有点cliche（事业挫折、容易异乡、初为人父），但完成度还不错。

橄榄球只是个幌子，实则上是描述卡纳克男孩成为男人的过程；但无奈剧本实在太弱，整一个成长过程更像是吃了三鹿奶粉而被催熟，并没有一件事情能支撑起成长这个内容，一切成长元素都沦为了符号。两星半。
