《边城护林人》是一部16分钟的观察纪录短片，讲述了中国新疆边陲城市——塔城的一位俄罗斯族护林员一辈子守护中哈边境的草原丛林，和自己的家人与同事梦想将绿色留在边疆的故事。

找的这个纪录片是因为《老嘎》这个短片，讲述离我们这儿不远的常德灌溪一个老人家的故事，因而找到了这位常德籍的导演，分享了他拍的这部片。《老嘎》拍的是老人的当下与回忆年轻的时光，《边城护林人》拍的是那些无闻于天下的普通人默默的青春奉献，莫音塔林场很美，但很难想象在那种荒林中的孤寂，所以见到后来人群的欢喜无疑是一种心灵的慰藉，这林、这地、这人以及这似浓似淡的一腔情怀让观者肃然起敬。
