Duncan, a young merchant, returns from a long journey, during which he bought from the infidels a sacred stone known as the "Heart of the Mountains". Duncan missed his loving wife Heather for weeks. During the party celebrating his return, Skaar's men raid the village, steal a stone and kidnap the beautiful Heather. Duncan wants to go on his own to rescue Heather, but the village Druid advises him to ask for help from Veronar, Heather's brother, who was sentenced to exile for unknown reasons. Duncan goes on an expedition, but not everything is going as he planned.
