Everyone wants to be like dad when they grow up. For Brandon Williams becoming his old man may be a hard pill to swallow and an even harder one for those around him. While using his late father's summer home for a weekend getaway Brandon starts to unravel secrets from his father's past, as well as a few unsettling tendencies of his own. The trip starts with a bizarre encounter with a down on his luck clown (Frank), who Brandon befriends after assisting him with his broken down car, offering him a ride if he loses the silly make up. As the new pals get to know each other their joyride is interrupted when they nearly hit a disheveled girl (Bonnie) on the side of the road. The girl is bloodied and clueless to how she ended up roadside. The two men assist her and the three form a bond. Brandon convinces the two passengers to come spend the weekend at his Dad's place, as they all can use an escape from reality. Once back at the cabin Bonnie starts to realize how she ended up on the side of the road, but is unclear who was with her. Frank too starts to recall that he recognizes Bonnie. Upon finding Frank's costume, Bonnie pieces together that he was the entertainment at her nephew's birthday party and they went off together when her husband and her had a fight. Frank confirms this, but admits he is unclear what happened between the two. Brandon's psyche starts to change when his misfit uncle (Vincent) tells him he overheard Bonnie and Frank plotting to kill him. Unfortunately for the couple Brandon's uncle never stuck around longer enough to learn this was a joke and they never intended to harm their host. Brandon will soon learn if the blood that ran cold through his serial killer father flows through his veins.
